Thank you for such great instructions. I have tried four times installing wamp and wp locally with other videos and they have omitted essential information such as installing MS C++ redistributable or other information. I am so glad to find your video!

  2. Very useful and concise video! Clear and understandable. Best video so far! You did a great job!!!

  3. This is the most clearly explained video. I was so confused but now I have wordpress installed and running!

  4. at 11:16 I do not get that page. It does not show the wp logo. it says Warning: Parameter 1 to wp_default_styles() expected to be a reference, value given in D:Apache24htdocswordpresswp-includesplugin.php on line 601 I put wp in d: drive. My apache 2.4 is working and running, my php 7.1 seems to be working ok also. I can see my phpinfo.php I can now see my phpmyadmin ok now. mysql 5.7.14 seems to be working fine also. I don’t understand why I can’t get wordpress to install function properly. I did as I was supposed to. I download wordpress, unzip it, then put in my htdocs. I go to localhost/wordpress and it give me error warning message. I can’t figure this out at all. help!

  5. USE ROOT as usename and leave blank as password for phpMYadmin ……that explained later by host

  6. Thank you for the great help! I was able to do it all after failing my first attempt using other instructions! Cheers!

  7. my phpMyadmin is not showing up from my browser. its blank =( also my WAMP icon is orange and not green.

  8. my WAMP logo in the bottom right is orange, not green and when i click on phpMyAdmin the page is just blank

  9. Thank you so much for this great video. I have been trying to figure this out for two days. Your video is is precise, clear, and easy to follow. I have added it to helpful set up playlist that I can share with others. Thx again.

When I am trying to install worpress using Wamp server it’s showing me "Error establishing a database connection". I have tried to solve the problem using wp-sample-config.php. And there nothing is incompatible with the database.

  11. I’ve successfully installed it however, It wants username & password for phpMyadmin. Where will I get this username & password?

  17. I’m a newbie and learning in my spare time but……….when I go to open my PHP, it asks for a username and password. I have no idea on this and I didn’t see that mentioned in your video. I’m searching on the WAMP website and whatever I can think of but where would I obtain this info?
