Summary of this Tutorial:

Start by installing and activating the WP ShowHide plugin.

The plugin mainly uses shortcode to show and hide the text.

To hide the text in a post simply use the following shortcode:

[showhide type=”post”]Text you want to hide[/showhide]

Changing the more and less links would require modifying the opening shortcode to the following:

[showhide type=”post” more_text=”Show more…” less_text=”Show less…”]

You can even modify the look for individual posts. The following is the default parameters for the shortcode.

[showhide type=”pressrelease” more_text=”Show Press Release ({f60a19ca4822ea5083709910a03c8f9e50ac3abaf19315a89f25f66a4b2e306d}s More Words)” less_text=”Hide Press Release ({f60a19ca4822ea5083709910a03c8f9e50ac3abaf19315a89f25f66a4b2e306d}s Less Words)” hidden=”yes”]
