SOLVED!! WordPress Problem – Broken Image Link Issue 2016
I came across the same problem about broken image in the latest wordpress installation of 2016. SOLVED the wordpress #broken link Problem after hours of research ending up a real quick fix.

Mannnnn if I could hug you I would. I use Woocommerce with Stripe, so I needed an SSL first. I use GoDaddy hosting and my new url was nested under an old one, so I didnt want the SSL on the old url, so I made the new url primary. After that I also. I changed themes, but forgot I changed url structure, which changed my file structure also. Thinking the issue was the theme, I was about to about to scrap the whole site and start from beginning. You saved me hours!
YAS!! It was the uploads folder! BIG THANKS Mark! (changed from subfolder instal /DonnaMee to /donnamee)

My Settings – Media file doesn’t have the folder – only image sizes and organize files in to month….

I don’t know if anyone can help, but when I go to Settings > Media, under Upload FIles, there’s no ‘Store uploads in this folder’ dialogue. Can anyone (Mark) assist with this?

What if I am able to upload my images to WP and they are not broken. The issue is when I insert them into a blog post and update the post, the images show as broken.
