Twenty Fifteen WordPress Theme Setup and Customization – ImagineWP
### Twenty Fifteen WordPress Theme Setup and Customization
Hey everyone,
I hope you’ve been up to cool things with WordPress!
This video covers my current favorite blogging theme, the default WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme. The simplicity and elegance of layout/colors/fonts and pretty much all aspects of it line up with what I was looking for in a blogging theme. I currently (at the time of this writing) am using this theme on a number of personal sites.
Keeping in line with the simplicity of the theme, there isn’t a whole lot of customization that is baked right into the theme. Sure, you can do a number of things, but this is a simple theme. It wasn’t built to do 45 different things, it was built for blogging.
There are however a number of things that can be tweaked to make the theme your own, adding an image to the sidebar background, changing the color scheme, adding social media icon links and tweaking a number of other things are baked right in and I’d highly recommend you take a look at those things if you’ll be using this theme.
I also mention a bit of CSS that you could add/tweak to modify the site a bit (I’d use the CSS plugin included with Jetpack), you can find those code snippets below the resource links.
